In the countryside of Listia lies the territory ruled by the low-ranking noble family, the Ornsteins. There, a pair of siblings live together.
The older sister, Marie, is a lively girl who loves practicing swordsmanship under their father’s guidance.
Her younger brother, Shion, is a shy boy who prefers staying in his room, lost in his books.
Although the two couldn’t be more different, they spend their days peacefully, watched over by their loving parents.
One day, Shion asks his father whether something called “magic” exists in their world.
